Day 1 : Labuan Bajo – Rinca Island – Padar Island

At 08.00 am, the team or a tour guide will pick you up in Labuan Bajo. If you have been in the hotel at that time, the guide will also pick you up there. It is more recommended to stay a night in Labuan Bajo before the trip to ease your accommodation services. From Labuan Bajo, the guide transfers you to the harbor to head to Rinca Island. The voyage is by boat and it takes around 2 hours.

On Rinca Island, prepare your trekking gear since your journey here will be started by exploring Komodo dragons and other animals. Make sure to be careful and follow the instructions since Komodo is a kind of wild and carnivore animal. You must be aware of other animals like buffalos and wild boars that are conserved there. The trekking duration is not too long here; only around 1-1.5 hours and it is continued to go to Padar Island.

From Rinca to Padar Island, it also takes around 2 hours by boat. On arrival, the activity is also trekking to watch the incredible seascape that surrounds the island. On the spot recommended, you can take a rest, relax, and of course, take some photos. If there is time remaining, the trip continues by sailing to Kalong Komodo Island and anchors there. It means you must stay for the night in the boat. The alternative is by anchoring around Padar Island and staying overnight on the boat in that area.

Day 02 : Komodo Island – Pink Beach – Manta Point – Kanawa Island – Labuan Bajo

The trip starts by having breakfast on the boat when the boat is anchored on Komodo Island. The next activity is trekking starting at 07.00 am in Komodo Island. The duration is around 2 hours to see Komodo dragon and other wild animals conserved in Komodo National Park. Follow all the instructions given for your own safety and comfort.

Pink Beach

After being satisfied watching this rare and typical Indonesian animal, you can continue your trip to Pink Beach. This beach is very unique and different from others mainly because of the color of the sand; it is pink.

Of course, aside from enjoying the magnificent view, you can also do many other activities there including snorkeling and swimming. The time duration in Pink Beach is only an hour. In case you don’t want to do trekking in the first place, the guide will leave you in Pink Beach to relax while waiting for your other group members.

Manta Point

The next destination is Manta Point. This spot is also for snorkeling to watch the beauty of the undersea view. Despite watching colorful fishes swimming back and forth, if you are lucky, you can see a school of Manta passing through the ocean. Unfortunately, the Manta appearance cannot be seen anytime. The best time to watch Manta is in November anyway. You must know also that the stream in the Manta Point area is quite heavy. Therefore, it is recommended to only snorkel around the place. It is also possible to watch it only from the boat.

After Manta Point, your trip continues to the last place, known as Kanawa Island. Kanawa Island is also famous for its beautiful scenery although the name is maybe not as popular as Komodo or Rinca. On the beach of the island, you can snorkel, swim, or just sit down and relax. When twilight has come, you will go back to your hotel in Labuan Bajo around 05.00 pm.
