But, you can have another alternative transportation, by ship from Tanjung Benoa, Bali. After you arrive in Labuan Bajo, continue your journey to Kampung Ujung. It is about 3 kilometers trip. You may have public transportation as well. If you are a backpacker, so this is the best way to get to the island in a cheap way. 

Entrance Ticket to Komodo Island and the Estimation Holiday Budget

Well, it is of course depending on how you get to the island. Let’s start the journey to Labuan Bajo. You need to pay 230.000 rupiahs to cross from Tanjung Benoa to Labuan Bajo. but if you choose to fly, the expense is higher for sure. 

For your information, if you choose to have public transportation to Kampung Ujung, so you have to pay about 30.000 rupiahs. After you arrive at the Komodo National Park, you have to pay for the entrance ticket 5000 rupiahs on weekdays and 7500 rupiahs on weekends. 

But, it does not go the same way for foreign tourists. They have to pay 150.000 rupiahs on weekdays and 225.000 on weekends. Plus, they still must rent a guide service to escort them during their time there.
